What is Animal Welfare?According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, "animal welfare" is a human responsibility that encompasses all aspects of animal well-being, including proper housing, management, nutrition, disease prevention and treatment, responsible care, humane handling, and when necessary, humane euthanasia.
