2008 Candidate SurveyList All Questions List All Candidates The Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation is a nonprofit organization working in Jefferson City to improve, strengthen and protect Missouri's animal welfare laws. Since 1990, the Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation has been surveying candidates about animal welfare issues. In keeping with our mission to provide our supporters with current animal welfare information, a 2008 candidate survey was conducted. 302 surveys were mailed to candidates for the following state offices: Missouri House of Representatives; open Missouri Senate seats; Governor; Lt. Governor; Secretary of State; State Treasurer; and Attorney General. Surveys were sent only to candidates for STATE office in Jefferson City, not to those running for federal office in Washington, DC. As a 501c(4) lobbying organization, the Alliance does not endorse any candidate for public office. However, we encourage our supporters to seek out as much information as possible on issues of interest to them prior to casting their vote in November. It is our hope that you will consider the candidate surveys as just one of many tools in making your voting decision this fall. Survey Questions lists the survey questions and summarizes the responses. Candidates lists the candidates invited to respond to our 2008 Survey and links to their answers if they responded. A copy of the survey sent to the candidates is available in pdf format at Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation 2008 Candidate Survey. |
