Puppy Mill Survivor

“Minnie” - 13 years, Teacup Poodle

I am a 4lb Teacup Poodle & was "set free" in August, 2001 from a puppy mill in Missouri.  I was 6 years old when rescued.  Because I had never been out of my cage at the puppy mill, I have a curved spine.  I was adopted two days after 9-11-01. I was afraid to walk on a leash at first and walked on grass with trepidation.  Keep in mind, for the first 6 years of my life I had NEVER been out of a cage!

Now that I am a "grand dame" at 13 years young, I love the outdoors.  I get to go camping with my owner and I love to hike on trails and wade in shallow creeks.  My owner thinks of me as a blessing and as you can tell by the smile on my face, I am one happy camper!
