Who Will Be the Next Face of the Alliance?!

Contestants

Muffin - 516 votes

Entered by Cindy McCarthy

"Muffin" is not only a breakfast option, you know: it  was also the name of this one-of-a-kind cat. She could best be described as sweet, sassy, and devoted. She was very much adored by her entire family. Muffin knew exactly when someone needed cheering up, and was quick to the scene. She loved being carried like a baby. Sixteen years was not enough time with her. She is deeply missed.

Rosie - 466 votes

Entered by Mary Ballard

Rosie is an amazing girl.  I’ve had her for going on 12 years, and I’ve loved her every minute of that time.  Her appearance, which has changed so much due to aging, has made her a “distinguished lady.”  She’s special needs, suffering from intense anxiety, which has been an ongoing situation from the very beginning and has contributed to her white muzzle.  She’s so loving, kind, and gentle.  She is my very special girl.

Winston Pickles - 351 votes

Entered by Stacy Sloas

Winston Pickles is a rescued pug mix. His friends describe him as goofy, fun loving and a tad aloof. In his free time he enjoys going to: daycare, the dog park, local pet parades, dressing up for Halloween and visiting grandma and grandpa’s house. He loves his mom and dad when they have treats, and he tolerates his 3 cat siblings.  Go Winston!

Mr. Serious - 133 votes

Entered by Jan McMichael

Meet Mr. Serious. When it was time to add a feline fur baby to our family, I wanted a black cat because they're typically the least adopted. I fell instantly in love with this regal fluff ball. My husband and four-year-old grandson named him Mr. Serious because they didn't like my suggestions and thought their idea was HILARIOUS. The name truly fits as Mr. Serious is seriously awesome and loved by everyone!

Gaby - 131 votes

Entered by Annemarie Nauert

Gaby relentlessly craves the limelight, insisting on cheering up anyone within wagging distance (whether they like it or not!).  A true athlete when it comes to ball-chasing, she is also an Olympic-level cuddler.  Gaby is one half of a bonded pair (with JoJo, also in the contest) whose guardian's decline in health led them to a shelter. They are happily settled into a South City home along a bike trail (offering endless entertainment).

Crosby Seltzer - 112 votes

Entered by Wayne Seltzer

We adopted Crosby at 2 years old from a foster in Dallas who saved him from being euthanized at a shelter. He has been nothing short of an amazingly loyal and loving dog. I could have named him shadow as he is always by my side. He is almost 15 now and still patrols the yard on his play time to make sure no one , including the deer come in our fenced yard. He is fearless.

Whitney Seltzer - 82 votes

Entered by Wayne Seltzer

We rescued Whitney from a bad breeder as a puppy. After a  couple of surgeries, this animated little girl has given us 15  incredible years. Sweet, curious and vivacious, she runs the  household and with the bark of a much larger dog, she teams  up with her running mate to scare away any intruders. She can  be a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

JoJo - 81 votes

Entered by Annemarie Nauert

JoJo is an adorable grump who hides a sensitive personality behind a facade of tough love.  She is never too far from the dinner bowl and indulges in loud snoring at all hours.  JoJo is one half of a bonded pair (with Gaby, also in the contest) whose guardian's decline in health led them to a shelter. They are now happily settled into a South City home along a bike trail (offering endless entertainment).

Gabriella - 47 votes

Entered by Cindy McCarthy

Gabriella has never known anything but love, and it shows. She is an incredibly playful, feisty, and affectionate kitten. Born to a community cat, she was taken in by a family who brought her to Carol House Quick Fix Clinic. After being spayed she was adopted into a loving home where she was welcomed by a mom and two cat siblings!

Benny - 46 votes

Entered by Amanda Moen & Todd Burchyett

Meet Benny! We adopted Benny last November and he instantly made himself at home.  He gives hugs in the morning and snuggles at night.  His favorite game is catch and the higher you throw a toy the better. Benny loves to go for walks or play in the yard with his bestie a few doors down. Benny is part lab, part mystery and all fun!

Abel - 41 votes

Entered by Gail Eisnitz

This is the wonderful Abel, who was adopted at four months old from Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville, NC. He was born on Valentine’s Day and he is my valentine 365 days of the year. He is an indoor kitty who enjoys time spent on the porch and the deck. There are no words to describe how much he means to me. ❤️

Grits - 34 votes

Entered by Linda Moore

Grits came into rescue because he "just can't be taught one thing and he chases the chickens". Grits stayed with me, and the can't be taught dog earned the highest title in agility, his MACH, Master Agility Champion. He earned his CGC and Trick Dog titles. He was a teacher of all rescues coming in the door. Grits loved everyone, loved agility competition, and most of all he loved me. He was my heart dog.

Rooney - 22 votes

Entered by Shriyam and Hannah Bugga

Rooney was rescued at one year old when he was found locked away in a shed with a broken pelvis. He was so weak his vets nearly gave up on him—but Rooney kept fighting. When he was strong enough, his foster family took him to adoption events where he met his forever family. Now he spends his days playing with toys, sleeping in the sunny patio, and snuggling with his mom and dad.

Marius - 18 votes

Entered by Kelsey McLean

Marius was adopted from Stray Rescue and became his mom’s first foster fail! His favorite activities are watching birds out the window, playing with his stuffed pumpkins, chasing his brother and eating treats!

Benjamin - 14 votes

Entered by Cindy McCarthy

Benny was adopted from the local Humane Society as a thirteen-week-old kitten. While there are brighter cats out there, you’d be hard pressed to find who is as sweet and patient with his two little sisters. He is such a love! His family is fortunate to have him.

Charlie - 14 votes

Entered by Brian and Leslie Lenz

We adopted Charlie almost one year ago through Central Aussie Rescue and Support and we are so happy we did!  He is a friendly, sweet-natured guy who loves his walks. Like most Aussies he is full of energy and loves to play.  He is also very trainable and is working on CGC skills.  After a vigorous game of Frisbee, he likes to lay down in our Hosta garden and rest.

Tonka Robbins - 11 votes

Entered by Brittany Robbins

Tonka Robbins was rescued from West Plains, Missouri and our lives haven't been the same since.  He's part Mini English Bulldog and part Beagle and it shows.  His personality is loud.  Tonka is stubborn, dramatic and he loves his family hard.  We can't imagine not having him to step over him or nudge him to stop snoring.

Maisey Robbins - 8 votes

Entered by Brittany Robbins

Maisey Robbins is our director of babysitting.  She hasn't gone off the clock since we brought our daughter Scarlett home from the hospital. Maisey has been by her side for three months now.  Part Shih Tzu and part Maltese, Maisey is just about the sweetest dog we've ever known. She loves laps, snuggles and a good burrow under the covers.

Britton Robbins - 8 votes

Entered by Brittany Robbins

Britton is named after John Britton who was a close friend, mentor and former lobbyist for the Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation. Britton is Goldendoodle. When she isn't pawing you for a good pet or neck rub, she is tracking squirrels, chipmunks and birds in the backyard.  You can rely on Britton for a good neighborhood watch.
