Safer Together, Kansas City

Perhaps you've noticed through your work or volunteering experiences that there is often a connection between the abuse of animals, children, elders, and vulnerable adults. But what can you do to help those in need?

We are thrilled to be bringing Safer Together to Kansas City, following a very successful training in Saint Louis. Safer Together KC will be held at Wayside Waifs on September 30th from 8:30am-4pm.

You will have the opportunity to learn from a forensic veterinarian, survivors of domestic violence and child abuse, a representative of Children's Division, a representative from a shelter that co-shelters people and their pets, a State Representative, and many more.

You will walk away with an enhanced knowledge on the connection between violence towards vulnerable individuals, how to identify child and animal abuse, and how you can help.

This training has been approved by MO NASW for 6.5 training hours.
